"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr. Epstein:" 5.30.13

Alright, Gemini. How long are you going to feel like Decca Records? Not that this is the worst situation in which to find yourself. After all, the Decca Records story doesn't end with the ill-timed decision not to sign The Beatles in 1962. They got The Rolling Stones that very same year, didn't they? But until the end of time (literally) poor Dick Rowe and Decca will have to contend with their lack of foresight in failing to sign the Fab Four when they had the chance--opting instead for Brian Poole and the Tremeloes (?!) because of the practicalities of lower travel expenses. This week, Gemini, and really this year, reflect on risk and what it's lost you in the long run. When have you shied away from the next big thing based on mundane drawbacks? You've still got a shot at the Stones...but to adopt their turn of phrase: time is not on your side. It's time to seriously consider how to reverse your risk adverse tendencies that may be tempering decisions that will reverberate for the rest of your life.
